Gathering and processing personal data

To ensure our website is best able to meet the needs of its visitors, information is collected whenever a web user accesses it. As part of this, cookies are used. Cookies are small text files, stored locally in the cache of the visitor’s web browser. Using technology provided by etracker GmbH, cookies allow us to collect the following data:

  • the IP address of the visiting computer (shortened IP address)
  • the date and time of access
  • the name and URL of the data requested
  • the quantity of data transferred
  • a report as to whether the request was successful
  • browser and operating system identification data
  • the website from which our site was accessed
  • the name of your Internet service provider
  • mouse use, scrolling, input, and image viewing behaviour (fewer than 10% of visitors)
  • a video recording of the visit (fewer than 10% of visitors)

By using technology provided by etracker GmbH, we ensure this data is gathered in a way that conforms with data protection regulations. The data is only used to personally identify visitors to the website if they agree to this in advance. In particular, data such as the IP address is anonymized, so that it cannot be connected to, or employed to identify the user. Click here to find out more about the technology we use.

The data gathered is not employed for any purposes other than those stated, and is not passed on to third parties, unless authorization is given to do so.

Users can withdraw consent to having their data collected and stored at any time.

You can email us via our websites, using the form provided. This information is then encrypted, and sent to us by email. The data provided to us is stored and used exclusively to process your request. Once this is complete, the data is deleted.

Right to information

Should you have any uncertainties as to the amount of your personal information being stored, or what it is being used for, you may request further information at any time on the data stored, its origin and recipient, and the reasons for storage. Similarly, you have the right at any time to insist your personal data is deleted, blocked, or modified, and to forbid its future use, as far as KiK Textilien is not restricted by statutory requirements. You can withdraw consent to having your data used at any time.

We encrypt your data with SSL (Secure Socket Layer) technology to ensure it does not fall in to the wrong hands when transferred. This is a proven, highly secure data transfer process used online. The SSL process also guarantees that your data is sent exclusively to the server that requests it.
